Another Day, Another Decade...

30!  When Bryant called yesterday on his way home, it took me longer to answer the phone because I had to find it.  But, I told him it took me longer because now that I'm older I move slower... you know now I move at his pace!  He thought that was kinda funny.  Then he continued, now that I'm 30 I need to do a push-up each time I put a fork in the dishwasher!  Yah, right... he needs to do it first!

Well, eventually he made it home and off to cookin' he went.  He made lasagna, bread sticks, and lemon filled cupcakes with meringue topping.  He also got me a bike for my birthday.  I may be the only one in the family with brown hair and dark eyes (which I''m told makes me the odd ball)but, I am no longer the only one without a bike.  Now I just need to get Eli his bike seat and we're set to go.  As long as I remember how to ride it!

End of Kindergarten...

Today was the last day of school. ( And currently he is reading this over my shoulder!  Amazing!)  In September he'll be getting back on the bus.... as a 1st grader.

Last Tee Ball game....

Our last game was earlier this month.  We finished off the season with medallions, certificates and a pizza party.  All the kids had a great time and we enjoyed getting to know some of the other parents.

Twilight Tattoo...

This past Friday after dinner, we walked over the Parade Field for "Twilight Tattoo".  The evening consisted of performances by The United States Army Drill Team, Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. and The Color Guard.  They also had a helicopter and a fire truck that the kids had fun sitting in.

Weaning....

Eli is enjoying weaning just as much as he is enjoying this pool.

Since, my last post I have been weaning Eli onto milk.  He is actually doing very well with the milk, but he still wants to nurse.  In fact, since the weaning began so has the biting.  Of anyone... anytime.  Hopefully, that will subside soon enough.  Because the word "no" and a pop in the mouth is becoming a part of our regular routine.
