Nathan's 8th birthday...

And more cake!

I made cupcakes for Nathan's 2nd grad class (but, I forgot to take a picture).  And then cupcakes for his birthday party...

And instead of cupcakes for his birthday at home... I made a Captain America cake.  He kept telling me that he wanted a Skylanders cake... but, honestly HOW does one do that?  Make a portal?  nope.  I just went with Captain America instead.  He was happy.

But, he did get the Giants Skylanders game.  So, he was definitely NOT disappointed!

Happy Birthday N8!

April...

April started with another birthday for this Treacle tribe.  (It just wasn't this particular little boy.)

Gracie had a paper Chinese dragon in the Art show.  We were rather proud.

Opening Ceremonies of Baseball was mid April.  Nathan is playing machine pitch again this year.  His team is in the Green shirts... The Athletics.

A definite highlight of this month was our Spring Break and the time we spent during it in Indianapolis.  These kids just love each other SO much!

During Spring break we also got to visit this kid at heart... my grandpa.

On the way home Gracie slept a lot... turned out she had strep throat.  Poor thing, missed 2 days of school after spring break.  (But, it did make for  a pleasant ride.)

Gracie's 6th Birthday...

Cupcakes, cupcakes and more cupcakes.

Gracie celebrated her birthday with her Kindergarten class.

And, then Bryant and I worked hard to make more cupcakes for her birthday party...

THEN, the actual birthday came. Lots of gifts...

Bryant thought that the new doll resembled its' purchaser an awful lot.

And although I had plans of making a Barbie doll cake... by the time her birthday came around I was tired of making anything.  Which resulted in more cupcakes.  Poor girl, I felt like she got the short straw this year.  But, regardless she was a super happy 6 year old.

Happy Birthday Gracie!

March...

March started for us with a little bit of snow.  Eli really enjoyed playing in the bits that we did get.

Gracie learned to ride her bike!!  Check below for a video.

And Nathan.  He's just Nathan.

The big 13.  Bryant and I celebrated 13 years of marriage on March 11th. This is not a flattering picture on my part, but it is the only one I have of us on our anniversary night out.  The date included dinner at Old Ebbitt's Grill downtown and then a walk around (the outside) of the White House... this picture was in front of the EOB (Eisenhower Office Building)... one of the main places where Bryant works.

WHCA All Star

In everything that my husband does, he gives it his all.  And it is no surprise to me that he made the WHCA All stars.  Good job babe!

Holy Moly! She's Back!!!

I know it's been FOREVER... I even was completely ok, with not posting anymore.  Then, I changed my mind.  So, here is a super quick update!

Christmas:

Grandpa Peter's turned 80!

Nathan got baptized!

And Eli likes to play with the phone.  He will charge the play phones, and answer the real ones!  So, if you call and you here a very quite little boy say hello, it's him.

Nice being back!

Christmas Joy.

As much as I would LOVE to say that this is our beautiful white Christmas, it is not.  This was actually our view as we left New York at Thanksgiving time.  However, it may be my only snowy picture from this winter, so I have to include it.  We only got one slightly snowy day last year, so we are REALLY hoping for a nice snow day this time.

But, now to get on with that Christmas joy... beginning with Christmas cookies.

And our trees.  Both of them.

The Santa hat.  When it came time to place the star on top of the tree, we couldn't find the base.  The most important part of the Christmas tree was missing!  Bryant wanted to go buy a new star but, we couldn't find one that we liked. So, I bought a Santa hat and threw it up there.  The search for the star continues.

The Christmas card.  Saturday we dressed up the kids, sat them in front of the Christmas tree and started snapping pictures.  Here's a few... guess which one made the cut.

And, our Christmas picture. Bryant's height lined up very conveniently with that Santa hat... that was not planned.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
