"Firefighters to the Rescue!"

Yesterday after church we went for lunch at Firehouse Subs... "owned and operated by fireman"... and inside all the decor is firefighter equipment and uniforms. The kids got firefighter hats with their meals, and they wore them all day yesterday. Gracie kept saying, "Firefighters to the rescue!".

There's a new bean in town...

Summer time = Picnics = Baked Beans

When I grew up we ate those beans hot, cold, even straight out of the can! And Bryant was never a bean fan until he had my mom's, now he is a die hard fan of Bush's Baked Beans. So, when we had a picnic to go to this past weekend and I said that I was going to make beans he literally thought that I was going to bring a can of Bush's! No dear I mean I'm making some beans! They were good too! Bryant scrunched up his face a few times while I was puttin them together, but he was pleasantly surprised! Happy Bean Eatin!

Just a Thought...

I returned from the Eye doctor today with a rather large bill to my bank account. Bryant says that I need to strongly consider Lasik Eye Surgery.... just the thought of that makes me cringe! But, when my insurance only covers the exam and not the fitting... nor the contacts or the new glasses... a nominal fee is to be expected (especially when your as blind as a bat). Maybe I'll consider Lasik or maybe I'll wait another 10 years to get new glasses. We'll see... until then I'm prayin' that my kids have good eyes!
